A CDR (Call Detail Record) describes a call event on the network: start time, end time, calling number, called number and much more. Generally, CDRs are used as critical source material for customer billing. However, CDR analysis opens up new perspectives, such as identification of traffic patterns, subscriber behavior profiling, fraud detection and anticipation of possible customer churn. Thanks to the experience acquired over the years as a telecom solution developer, Cibertec has created the LTSS, which can collect, format, store and analyze CDRs from various sources. This system is used for optimizing network utilization, fine-tuning marketing campaigns, blocking fraudulent activity in real time and increasing customer loyalty.
The LTSS is Cibertec`s platform for CDR analysis. Built on Windows 2000 and SQL servers, the LTS System is a seamless integration of every single function you need to run an effective PTT billing process and accounting verification, together, with various applications like inter-operator and international administration accounting, fraud management, network monitoring, quality of service and revenue assurance.
There is virtually no limitation regarding implementation, operation and access to information; from a single-user PC to LAN, WAN, Intranet, Internet, home workers and multi-task operators. All you need is a simple browser, which will allow you to control everything, from anywhere in the world, in real time.
Presents reports in real time, as well as historic traffic statistics, assisting in IAA reconciliation to improve accuracy and timeliness.
Some of the benefits the LTSS solution offers:
The LTSS from Cibertec represents a solution that includes:
Network Status & Traffic Supervision (NSTS): This QoS module allows the user the possibility of traffic monitoring and measurement of the different routes, providing reports with the indexes of quality of service and the monitoring capacity of each central offices CDRs to quantify the interconnection traffic with other operators (International Administration Accounting).
Hardware Architecture: The LTSS is a combination of Cibertec's own hardware design and client-server HW architecture. The information is collected from the SS7 signaling using the SONDA16 and the HDLC-4M, developed by Cibertec. It is stored temporarily for pre-analysis in a local database. Later on, the information is transferred to the CDR Report Server, which is the final destination of the data and from where the user's PC will connect to acquire the information.
The LTSS has the feature of real time action against irregular traffic, allowing it the capability of blocking all calls identified as fraudulent (BK7).
Software Architecture: The software architecture is based on Microsoft Windows 2000 (server and professional) operating system. Cibertec has developed a series of applications that control and manage the entire system. These applications are:
Controlling Module (BK7): This module is composed of the BK7 Service Application. The BK7 Service Application has the capability to interact with the PTT Switch and send it a release call signal in those cases where the call is consider as fraudulent. Thus, controlling and reducing fraudulent traffic.
