SS7 Real Time Blocking BK7
CIBERTEC introduces the BK7 system, which allows Telco operators to perform real time blocking of fraudulent calls with minimal hardware and no need to deploy expensive and bulky intrusive audio probes.
The BK7 systems is a plug-in module of Cibertec's Expert Fraud Management System (EFMS), but it can also be used stand alone, in combination with third-party Fraud Management Systems that do not have this capability.
BK7 Overview
This is a platform constituted by means of SS7 signaling analysis at level of the interconnection links. The system is based in Real Time information taken from signaling messages traveling through network matrix topology.
The system is equipped with an application that allows the generation of the reports by criteria of selection per event; by alarm and time section:
- Selection of calls per hour and Date
- Selection of calls per operator
- Selection of calls per message SS7
- Selection of calls by programmable criteria
The platform allows monitoring and blocking of the suspicious calls, in particular:
- Monitoring and blocking of the activities of the suspicious numbers and the control of traffic from and to certain countries.
- Control consumption by type of call or cumulative (frequency of the calls for a given subscriber). (Through the interconnections links)
- Control rate of call-ups (comparison of a number for incoming calls and for of the outgoing calls). (Through the interconnections links)
- Control and blocking of the numbers with pre-defined formats (ex: numbers starting with 00 or 06, format assigned by the PTT or non conformity format)
- Surveillance and blocking of communications in which one of the messages SS7 fails to meet user defined criteria about special signaling parameters. Very useful to detect and control signaling irregularities, for example:
- Category: international
- Field interworking: positioned
- Others
BK7 Features
- A single BK7 system can be used to monitor and block multiple routes.
- Applicable to SS7 TUP and ISUP links, as well as their national variants.
- Allows operation over black and white subscriber numbers.
- Selective gradual action is configurable.On-line, context-sensitive help
Applications:
- Fraud control on international links
- Fraud control on national network links, such as POI with competitors that may be doing abusive of fraudulent business practices.
